Frank Fol and We’re Smart World
Frank Fol’s WE’RE SMART® mission is to bring together people and business who have an ecological and sustainable approach to food and to help and teach one another to evolve our society to more intelligent solutions for our body, our nature and tomorrow’s world. The Fruit & Veg Week©, the «Best Vegetable Restaurants » competition, «The Vegetable Chef®» and the «We’re Smart® Green Guide» are all part of this ambitious plan for our planet .
Next to the annual Awards, by creating the Green Guide, Frank Fol (We’re Smart World) has given the industry a handy tool with a mine of information that is now accessible to all as the Guide is now online. The guide assembles, in a logical way, dozens of good addresses, many chefs giving a priority to vegetables and a great choice of other addresses that are good references in the vegetable world, an industry very much on the forefront of the culinary and nutritional (« healthy») news.

Surprised by the various food scandals, consumers are paying more and more attention to what is served on their plate. YouMeal helps them: the company is surfing the current wave of healthy eating and helps restaurant managers to inform their customers about the composition of their recipes.
The company has developed customized information sheets for restaurants to gather data so they can communicate on:
- The vitamins and minerals
- The list of ingredients
- The allergens
- The origin of the ingredients
- The Calories
- The ecological impact
- The compatibility with certain diets or food choices
All this food information, from the composition to the environmental impact of the recipes, is synthesized in the form of a green index. This project was developed within the Catholic University of Louvain.
